In this post, I would like to explain the options in Publish Ribbon.

Publish Ribbon provides tools to publish, document, import, and export model assets in a variety of formats and styles. This can take many forms, from corporate publications to spreadsheets, XML schemas, and patterns. Models contain important information and knowledge for an organization, and these tools make that information and knowledge available to people who do not have direct access to the model. The publishing system is flexible and allows you to create high-quality documents with custom templates and styles. Additionally, elements and diagrams can be imported and exported, including information exchange with spreadsheet tools and saving as reusable patterns and assets.

Publish Ribbon

Publish Ribbon consists of Model Reports, Diagram Image, and Model Exchange panels.

Here’s a summary of the main features of each panel:

Model Report	Groups a set of tools for extracting information from models in various formats (custom documents, templates, model documents, docx, pdf, HTML).
Diagram Image	Provides the ability to create hard and electronic copies of diagrams from your model. Resize options for diagram images are also included.
Model Exchange	– Provides package management and the ability to import and export model parts in XMI format. – Supports various formats compatible with spreadsheets. – Reusable Asset Server (RAS) allows you to easily find existing model fragments and save parts of the current model for future reuse. – Provides options for creating and converting files into a file format suitable for specific technologies and can be utilized by EA.

Model Reports Panel

The Model Reports panel provides a set of tools to extract information from models and output them in a variety of useful formats, including DOCX, PDF, and HTML.

Report Builder	– Create documents in RTF, PDF, and DOCX formats from models – Create documents from selected objects – Generate a ‘diagram only’ report containing all diagram images in the current package – Open and edit existing document files – Create new RTF/DOCX document file
Custom Documentation	– Start creating custom linked documents containing various document objects from your model.
Model Document	– Create a new model document element – Generate model documents from patterns – Find all model documents within a model – Find document packages – View help
Templates	– Manage, create and modify templates used to create documents in RTF, PDF and DOCX formats
Preview mode	– Displays a dynamic document window showing documentation immediately generated from the current element
HTML	– Standard HTML reports (published as static web pages internally or on Internet websites) – Creating HTML documents on Joomla! and distributing them on the Internet

Diagram Image Panel

The Diagram Image Panel provides the ability to create hard and electronic copies of the currently open and selected diagram in your model.

Print	– Direct Print: Print diagrams directly on your default printer. – Preview: Displays an image of the diagram to be printed – Settings: Configure the default printer through the ‘Print Settings’ dialog box – Print to PDF: Print diagrams as PDF files instead of a printer.
Save	– Save as file: Select file storage location and format – Save to clipboard: Immediately save the image to the EA clipboard – Image resizing: Diagram images saved in bitmap format can be resized at various ratios from 100% to 400%.

Model Exchange Panel

The Model Exchange panel contains tools to control the package, import and export parts of the model to XML-based formats or other formats that can be opened in a spreadsheet, leverage existing model fragments through the Reusable Asset Server (RAS), or use current It is also useful for saving parts of a model for reuse in future projects.

This concludes the explanation of Publish Ribbon.

As I mentioned in my last post, this is the end of EA’s menu explanation, and I will explain the Develop, Simulate, Execute, Construct, and Specialize ribbons, which are advanced functions (from my standards), if necessary in the future.
